Thankfully the new cover and the proper RTV sealant fixed the oil link. Today I started the engine, having first watched the Chinese Grand Prix, and left it running for quite a while with nary a drop of oil. That’s a relief.
With that sorted I just did a collection of little things, most of which were really cleaning activities, so as to get the car ready for the trip to Brands Hatch. This is now all done and it’s sitting on the trailer in the garage. I just need to sort out the various tools and so on to be ready. Only problem is that I need to take sufficient destructive tools with me to guarantee to be able to get rid of the cat when it fails again, which I’m pretty convinced it will do.
Nice to catch up with you on Saturday at Brands Tim 🙂 I was the one with the 10 year old lad in tow and the road going Phoenix.
Great result on Saturday although Sunday looked a little more stressful 🙂 Bet it wasn’t fun sitting on the grid with your arm in the air ! At least you got practise on overtaking people. I have to say your car looks really nicely balanced though Paddock and down Graham Hill.
Cheers
