Putting the fire out

Back in J15 land, things are progressing albeit slowly. I must admit that I’m getting down to the scraping the barrel things here. Of course, as usual there’s lots of these.

One thing to do was to fit the various cable releases. First of all, the electrical one. I favour a good old fashioned cable job so I added an anchor for the cable outer to the side of the switch panel as you can see in the photo. I’ve also twisted the master switch around slightly so that the angle of pull works a bit better.

Bleeding problems

Some experimentation shows that there is a problem with air in the master cylinders not getting out of the exit ports. I had a peek down the inside of the master cylinder I’d nadgered and indeed the exit port is a pretty small hole at the top of the cylinder. Experimentally, I loosened off a couple of the master cylinders and jammed it in in a horizontal position, as in the photo.

Backs to the wall

Well, there’s a bit more progress to tell you about. First of, the panelling is almost completed. The first part of this was putting the seat backs in place, as seen in the photo on the right. These are actually held in with rivnuts, as I reckon being able to remove them will be quite useful, for example for getting at the exhaust.
